Episode One - Gameplay

Showing some of the gameplay from episode one.

After a weekend of terrible weather (which was just the encouragement I needed to spend a reasonably large amount of time tweaking, bug fixing, enhancing, optimizing etc.) Money Mouse In Full Barn House - Episode One has entered playtesting. Assuming no new game-breaking bugs are discovered, I'll move onto episode two.


Changes in this version.

  1. Graphics
  2. Sound
  3. Map; the game has gone from around 30 rooms to almost 50 rooms.
  4. Bug fixes. (A couple of minor ones persist but they are niggles rather than anything fun-removing.
  5. New font. Going for a digital clock look rather than the broken military look previously used.
  6. Optimized and improved the bonus games; particularly BreakUp! (Now has 12 levels, indestructable blocks, 2-hit blocks, a little ball directing (if you hit the left or right edges of the paddles) ). Improved graphics for BaseInvaders.
  7. Hard mode added. (Gives you 3 lives rather than 6).
  8. Playing the Bonus games add 2 lives to your current life total.
  9. More detailed instructions. Also a MAP for the episode (for you to print off or copy, or forget almost instantly)

Episode Two will feature different bonus games, a different map (a different maze style, closer to that in the alpha versions available freely for download), different objects to collect... and maybe a few other differences... I aim to release Episode One and Episode Two together as a single (tape) download in the near future.
