24-01-22 Updates - MMFBH Episode Two is well underway.


Well, I had planned to do a little more work this week on Episode two of Money Mouse, but one of those seasonal cold or flu bugs got me and my brain wasn't thinking the way brains usually do, and I ended up easier to distract than usual. However, a good weekend of ideas means that some progress has been made.


Most importantly, the first two bonus games are now part of the main game. There may be a third, but both bonus games need a bit of tweaking and playing around with, so we'll see how much space is left. I'm going to be writing more games so anything that doesn't find its way here will probably find a way into a future release.

There are a few graphical glitches to work out, and a fine-tuning of the two Bonus games (from the screenshots you might be able to make out that there is a game called "Froggy Toad" and another called "Quackman" ... Quackman is very much in debug/ development stage with some baddie logic to work out (as well as win condition) and both games need the scoring sorted).

The main game has a few rooms that need adjusting as the difficulty feels in the punishingly unfair region of things. (I was ill when I designed the screens. My sick and twisted brain was sick and twisted).

There will be new objects (to replace the episode one objects) which should make it easier (ish) to remember what is where in which game.

Additionally, I'm moving this from a free game to a "paid for" game. (The alpha versions have been made "demos" even through they're complete in themselves and a different map to both episode one and episode two). I see my games as budget titles, so, in the spirit of 1984 budget games, I'll set a minimum of £2 / $2 if I can work out itch's pricing correctly.

Once this is complete. I'll start work on my third game, which will be an actual sequel to Noon30 Shovel Duck... but one thing at a time...
