2024-03-11 Weekend update. Starting to look like an actual game.



After little bits of tweaking here and there, some fancying up of the main menu page and adding some wipes... some time has been spent on the actual platform/ adventure side of the game. With a couple of characters to talk to and ideas for how items are going to be used and problems solved. It's definitely getting there. It's still missing some common features that I haven't added in (such as post-death respawn at either the place you entered the screen, or at the last object you collected/ person you spoke to) but they'll come along soon.

My current plan is to get the adventuring puzzles sorted for this initial level (and the platforms) and work on turning it into a downloadable demo/ alpha version that covers the surface and the first descent into the mine.

Depending on time, that'll probably take a couple of weeks.

Happy with the progress so far. As this is still Proof of Concept / early design stages, expect graphics and things to change between now and final release. Particularly those skulls. I'm probably going to use some other characters for the main baddies in the game...
