2024-04-04 Fixed / Tweaked Demo


Just a follow-up from the last update. I've swapped the previous alpha-demo for a new version with some tweaks.

  1. Menu "Attract mode" instructions and hints start sooner.
  2. Slight redesign of start screen to place emphasis on the bounce up walls mechanic.
  3. Inclusions of arrows to hint "you can bounce up these walls"
  4. More worms on the "Space Panic" style intermediate level section.
  5. No repeat of "Clementine" music on game end. On game start is enough.
  6. Repositioning of the second screen's fire jets to help avoid player walking (or jumping) straight into them.
  7. Some clean up on graphical artifacts on block moves/ changes.
  8. Loading screen.

Additionally, the main game page on itch.io has been changed with actual instructions. 

Knowing what to do helps, right? :-)

Hopefully the "graphical hints" will help people realise "there is something to do here." The aim is for the 1st level to introduce a bit of everything you can do, but not make it too hard that people give up.
